Everything you need to get up and running with StockStay.
1. Add a property — From your dashboard, click Add property. Give it a nickname (e.g. "Beach House 30A"), an optional address, and an optional photo.
2. Add items — Inside the property, click Add item. Choose a category (Bathroom, Kitchen, Bedroom, etc.) and enter the item name. You can add as many items as you like. Common items like Hand soap, Paper towels, and Shampoo can be added with one click from the suggestions.
3. Set stock levels — Each item shows a current stock level: Full, Low, or Out. You can update these manually at any time from the property page. Stock levels are also updated automatically when a cleaner submits a checklist.
4. Add item notes — You can add a note to any item (e.g. "Under the sink" or "Use the unscented version"). The note appears on the cleaner's checklist to help them identify the right product.
Share the link — Every property has a unique checklist link. Find it on your property page under Checklist Link. Copy and send it to your cleaner via text, WhatsApp, or email.
No login needed — Your cleaner opens the link on their phone. There's no app to download and no account to create. They tap Full, Low, or Out for each item, optionally add a note for you, and hit Submit.
Regenerating the link — If you change cleaners or want to revoke access, go to your property settings and click Regenerate link. The old link immediately stops working.
Checklist history — Every submission is logged with a timestamp and the cleaner's name (if provided). View past submissions from the property page under History.
Email alerts — When a cleaner submits a checklist with any items marked Low or Out, you immediately receive an email listing every item that needs attention, grouped by category. Each item includes an Amazon search link so you can reorder in seconds.
Testing alerts — In Settings → Email Alerts, click Send test email to verify your alerts are working correctly before relying on them.
Alert email address — Alerts are sent to the email address on your account. You can update this in Settings.
StockStay supports instant push notifications via ntfy — a free, open-source notification service. You get alerts on your phone the second a cleaner submits a checklist with low or out-of-stock items.
Setup (2 minutes):
On the Manager plan, you can invite team members to access your dashboard. Team members can view properties and checklist history but cannot change billing or account settings.
Inviting someone — Go to Settings → Team, enter their email address, and send an invite. They'll receive a link to create their account and join your workspace.
StockStay integrates with Amazon to make restocking fast. When you receive a restock alert, each item includes a link to find it on Amazon.
Adding ASINs for direct links — For items you buy repeatedly, you can add the Amazon ASIN (product ID) to skip the search step. Find the ASIN in the product URL on Amazon (e.g. amazon.com/dp/B08XYZ). Add it to the item in your property settings.
Restock All button — On your dashboard, properties with low or out items show a Restock All on Amazon button that adds all needed items to your Amazon cart in one click (requires ASINs to be set).
